I didn't go through the whole thing but I believe that you need to go through each of your loft profile sketches and make sure you have the same number of sketch line segments in each sketch. While most have 6 I found some with 8 and some with 5. That is a deal breaker. Sketches 56 and 68 should be one sketch.
And ABOVE ALL you will repeatedly hear that your sketches need to be fully defined. The bright blue lines will become black when they are fully defined. I didn't find any that were in those that I looked at. If I was the instructor this would cost mega points.
hi Christian: thank you for your reply, I am not sure what your mean. because loop 1 is just a half circle, I dont know why solidworks assumes it as an open loop. But have you create the model base on my sketch? How did you correct the error? Please tell me more detail, thank you very much.
Terry,
Christian Chu's screen shot is showing guide curves (purple), which are open loops along outside edges, not the profiles.
I know I used your precious time.Thank you very much. Actually, this is a class project. Professor asked us to reverse design a product. Not required me to create a product, therefore the SW doc is student version. I also found some problems and hope you may answer. I want to make sure that, Are these sectional lines must be drawn by "ONE spline line" to create? (Because I may used couple lines to create the shape) 2. Is the shape edge (like: at the bottom 90 degrees angle) will cause the error, which includes shape line and curve guide? 3) What is the purpose of the green balls located at each sectional planes when I want to use loft? These green balls seem to twist the dispenser's shape.
Terry,
The spline lines in question 1 do not need to be one spline or section. But they need to be in the same sketch. At least that is what worked for me. The profiles that Christian indicated needing fixed has more or less segments than the 6 that the other profiles had. You need either to use the split line command to create more or delete extra lines and extend existing ones to get the counts the same.
( I hope this is right, I have worked on several models since I looked at this for you)
