I'm a newbie in Solidworks. I decided to model the following knife and get my skills better in Solidworks. I started solid modeling but I don't have any idea how to create finger-grips. There are three finger-grips and I'm a bit confused. Can anybody please guide me?

How can I fix sketches? I didn't use any specific parameters for sketches because I used reference image and my final goal is rendering and visualizing the model using Keyshot.
You can fix the sketches by adding dimensions to each line or point, your sketch lines need to be black not blue.. The reason for this is - Adding relations is creating a foundation for a good model anything less then that can be a disaster. Suppose you have everything done and you edit one of the first sketches and happen, just happen to move it just a little bit, as soon as you close your sketch the entire model could fail, because sketches down line have moved out of their positions...
So, If I assign dimension to all the sketches, what would be the next step to ctreate those finger-grips?
Step at a time.. You need to thicken the handle and round the edges as shown before you can worry about the grips..
Do I need to start the project from the scratch for fixing those sketches?

There are two ways to fix the sketches.
If you open the sketch the best choice is to create relations and dimensions to already fixed items. this can be determined by the color of the sketch entities. An undefined item is blue while a fully defined item is black. You can also select a line or arc and attempt to move it. if it moves it isn't fully defined. This is also where design intent comes in as you need to consider what might be changes in the future because if it might change you probably don't want to dimension to it.
The second way to define a sketch would be to open the sketch and select "Fully Define Sketch" from the drop down. This should be the last resort as there is no design intent allowed here and SW will simply constrain everything to one point, usually the origin.
There is actually a third way which is to select each entity and "fix" it but that is something that should be forbidden from the start and you won't have many happy co-workers if you use that method.
Edit:
I used two forms of "fix" so I should add what I mean by "bad fix". If you select the following option it essentially freezes the line or arc in it's current position. It is quick but will cause many problems if the model needs to change.
Fardin,.. for creating the finger scallops, I'd split the side and adjacent faces.. then create fill surfaces, untrim and cut with surface. (image and file attached)

If you care about getting an organic shape and not so much about precision, try the Deform Feature. Read the HELP for it, and you will discover a pretty fantastic tool.
First you need to clean up the feature tree sketches - all are under defined, you need to add dimensions or fix the sketches so nothing moves. Otherwise a good start so far..
