SAVE A DRAWING SHEET TO DRAG AND DROP FROM A LIBRARY

    Oli Sparrow

      Hi all!

We have a large number of products that are composed of 50% standardised parts and 50% bespoke or modified parts.

Is there a way to save a drawing sheet detailing one of these standardised parts i the design library or other so that I could literally just drag and drop it into an existing drawing pack, the way we can drag a part into an assembly.

If not I have a few other ideas how to go about using master copy but would like to hear what ideas you all have also.

      Thanks!

      Oli

I'm not aware of any way to do that.  I see two options (I'm sure there are others).  You could open those drawings and copy and paste the sheets into your new drawing.  Another one, and what I do in similar situations, is to have those drawings as stand-alone files.  I add them to the pdf for the project as needed after saving the main drawing.  You've probably already thought of these, but it's all I've got.
