Has anyone ever had a problem with actors not fading in? I am trying to avoid deleting the actors and reinserting them to the file because I have quite a few location keys set for them. I have wiped out all other keys for the actors and started fresh with those still no luck. after the fade in the opacity is set to 255 but the actors are still invisible.

I had checked the opacity before and after the start of the fade, even deleted all other keys and set a 0 opacity key early on, then another 0 with a 255 shortly after (just manually creating a fade in) and it still didnt work. Deleted the actors and re-merged the parts into the document and it has been working fine since.

OK, glad it's working for you now. Hopefully it was just a glitch in those parts originally.
Make sure you have start and end keys set correctly. I am assuming you are just pressing the fade key to make these fade. Double check to make sure it's adding all start and end keys. For instance if you fade in and fade out the same part a lot you may need to add some full opacity keys before it fades back out and vice versa to get a good look. If you have an example file you can attach it and we can take a look at it for you.
