I have uninstalled and reinstalled solidworks but it still will not open. The app is on my desktop but will not open. Any help?

did you give the license back before uninstalling...if it is stand alone.

Hi there. I am facing the same issue with my solidworks student version 2017. Any of you guys have found a solution?
You probably should have started a new thread - the real issue has not even been identified for the OP, so it is not certain that your issue is the same.
I noticed that you ignored answering many of the parameters that I put to the OP.
In any case, now that I know you are attempting install of the student license - do not use the web installer.
Instead download the Full Copy install files to your local machine.
These images are from 2016-2017, but it was the same for my students this year with 2017-2018.
Perhaps you could ask your instructor to do this for you (that is what I do - and then pass around the thumb drive).
As J. Mather is indicating, it would really help if you gave a better picture of the scenario.

When you say "App is on my Desktop" what icon do you have?
