Hi guys,
Need to get a STL version of a solidworks file. However, the file obtained by directly SAVE AS a STL file is just unacceptable. The mesh quality is just too bad no matter how you tune the parameters in the conversion menu.
However, we found that during the "FLATTEN" process, SOLIDWORKS actually generates decent mesh internally on the surface for the flatten process.
So here is the question:
Is there any way to export the mesh shown during the Flatten process to a STL file? Is there anyway we can get access to this mesh (from API?) and export it?
Many thanks!
BTW, we used to use third party stand-alone software to get the mesh. We just want to know if we can get a decent mesh directly from SOLIDWORKS.
