i have louver in curved face and i create a forming tool as attached then i need to make hemming at sheet edge but it show this massage any one can help me ?
Mohamed,,, That is some of the most fantastic outside the box thinking I think I've ever seen. You did not use the form tool as it is intended to be used but I sure like the results (to a point). The problem here is that is not really considered sheet metal since it is a form tool stuck on the face of a piece of sheet metal. I suspect that is why you get that error about uniform thickness. Since I liked the way your louvers look so much I figured out a way to include them in your formed model. I split up your body into 3 pcs and at the ends there are two new sheet metal bodies on which I could add hems. This part is not flattenable.. You can't flatten it but you can flatten the ends separately but what I did is made two configurations. One to look good with the louvers and another to flatten without louvers. SW will not flatten forms on bends. Take a look at the model I attached and see if you can make sense of it and see if it will work for you. Use the configurations to go from formed to flattened. I also made another part and used a form tool that I made to put the louvers in the bend. Also had to make two configs of that in order to have a formed and flattened view. If you accidentally hit the sheet metal flatten tool you may have some trouble getting things right again.
Here are some screenshots of my other mode using a form tool as it was intended to be used.
