Hey there!
I am preparing animated video showing principle of work of two cooperating machines positioned in a row.
In first step I would like to show only machine number 1 in section view, and second machine in full view.
Then I would like to open section view for machine number 2 and close section view for machine number 1.
I am using Cutting Planes with option Apply to Selection.
It works nice in first step but when I create second cutting plane I can't turn off first one. Second cutting plane is cutting both machines, even though I am using Apply to Selection.
Any ideas, please?
PS Hope my explanation is clear enough, my English is poor.

Your cutting plane will only cut what you tell it to so something is set up wrong would be my first thought. Try creating a Selection Set of Machine 1 and Machine 2. Then apply you cutting area to those selection sets. This will give you more control in figuring out whats cutting what. Also keep in mind that Composer planes are very iffy in Animations. So I would recommend having a total of four selection sets. See below.
You are going to want to copy Machine 1 and Machine 2 so that you have 4 total complete assemblies before doing the process below. This is an important step and you can not skip it.
Machine 1 Full
Machine 1 Cut (apply cutting plane to this selection set)
Machine 2 Full
Machine 2 Cut (apply cutting Plane to this selection set)
You would then fade in and fade out selection sets above. This will give you a smooth transition and what I think you are looking for if I am following you correctly.
Cheers,
Derek
