When I use “Use gauge table” option. Base Flange creates error message. How to fix this?
Do you have the gauge table in the folder specified in System Options > File Locations > Sheet Metal Gauge Table?
also, do you have excel on your machine?
Am I correct in recalling you had issues with Excel a few weeks back? Did you resolve that?
Here is the screen shot of file location.
I have 2013 Excel in my system
Yes I had issue with Excel that was with the student edition of SWX. I haven’t resolved it yet, and I didn’t try again that with SWX 2017. Design Table
The sheet metal gauge tables will require excel to be called. You will need to address this issue before any Solidworks functions that call excel will work.
This is a screen shot of Microsoft Office in Control Panel. Have you ever had a experience with "Change" tool. I do not know the function of this tool. Because I wish to know whether this tool can be used to repair Excel software.
From my understanding, you have an un-activated Excel 2016 and an active Excel 2013? If this is still the case, you need to unistall excel 2016. Currently when you use any fucntions in SW that require excel (design tables, bend tables etc) SW looks for the excel application. It can see 2016 sitting there so it asks if for help but will get no answer. If you uninstall 2016, SW will go to 2013 and 2013 will take SW by the hand and help in any way it can.
The change option you see will allow you to change the Office installation, add/remove various components. Repair might appear under there to if I recall correctly.
Excel 2016 was a demo version it came with new computer. I uninstall that totally and Installed excel 2013.
The “Change” function got a repair option as well. But repairing does not change my issue fully.
You may have to remove excel 2016 references from your registry.

Be careful in there. Perhaps set a restore point on your machine before editing the reg.
Tinkering with registry is a greater risk because I do not have any knowledge about registry. One thing I can do is to get reformatted my hard drive.
Yes, there's a element of risk with registry edits. But it's pretty safe as long as you only edit what the instructions tell you to.
However, there's no guarantee editing the reg will fix your issue. If you can reformat your hard-drive / re-install windows that may be more likely to do the trick. However, you'll need to ensure that the Office 2016 elements are not installed in this process which it might try to do if its the OEM install disc / files that came with your machine.
Also, remember to transfer your SW licence back to the SW server before wiping your machine.
After repairing Microsoft Office for Excel, issue is partially okay. For that reason I assume issue is not with Excel 2013.
Well thats a little progress
Can you open the bend table in excel?
That's a lot of progress because now SW is talking to excel 2013. Now its the file that's not working, which can be resolved easily enough by re-creating them in excel 2013
Try saving the original as a different name, then saving it as an older excel file type as the original name.
