Using SW2009 SP2.0
Rendering powercoated sheetmetal assemblies.
The appearances were applied within SW with Realview enabled. Everything applied in this context transfered over to PV without a hitch. The model has plastic parts as well as cast aluminum and LED-backlit pushbuttons. No problems.
However, I can't seem to find a way to control the scale of the powdercoat texture. When you apply it within SW there are no "handles" with which to alter this. This means that small parts get a nice small texture and large parts get very large chips. It looks bad and you have to play with it in Photoshop to soften it up a bit and make it passable.
I'd like to do some closeups but just can't as the texture problem will be very visible in that case.
Any ideas? Did I miss something fundamental?
Thanks,
-Martin
