Does anyone know how to remove these break lines from a flattened sheet metal part?

These show up when it is saved to a dxf and have to be removed so they don't accidentally get cut on a laser.

We do a lot of sheet metal and I've only seen this happen on a few parts but I don't know what is causing it or how to remove it.
