These codes works fine for me.
Dim swApp As SldWorks.SldWorks
Dim swModel As SldWorks.ModelDoc2
Set swApp = Application.SldWorks
Set swModel = swApp.ActiveDoc
swModel.Extension.SelectByID2 "FixtureView", "DRAWINGVIEW", 0, 0, 0, False, 0, Nothing, 0
Is the view in drawing OR assembly?
the view is in a drawing document.
But the view is going to be of a assembly.
So I let the macro make a assembly and I want to have a left view of that assembly
Is there a named view or orientation view in the assembly or a part in the assembly that is named "FixtureView" because if there is, it is conflicting.
Also check display state names for a matching name
I have been plagued by this for a while now.
Also, if you find that something else is named "FixtureView", simply changing the name will not fix the problem, making a new file from scratch is the only way I have been able to fix it.
Why is this even possible? I don't know. But it is.
If you are looking for creating projected view then check CreateUnfoldedViewAt3
I tried something else and it worked. thanks for your help!
