Does anyone know if its possible to make the flashing vertical line in a text box appear when you are editing a note in a drawing? (i think its called a caret)
The thing i'm pointing to with the red arrow.
Mine is there. I don't know why it isn't for you. Graphics card maybe, but that's just a wild guess.
It should....although I will admit that it is flaky at times.
If I double click on a note and then use my arrow key to navigate right or left, then a phantom caret will be left there, while the real one will traverse where I want it to......most of the time. Sometimes it is really hard to see.
Edit: SW 2015 SP5
This tends to be the case for me, it will show some times and then if i use the arrow keys it looks like your picture. At least i know now that im not alone and this is common issue/hiccup!
Thought that only happened to me. Its a real pain.
Is there a fix for this yet?

Same (2017 SP5), but still happening exactly like you show in your picture.

I wonder if it is Graphics card related. I am running the Nvidia Quadro P2000 (which is new to me in the last few weeks).
I'm having a similar problem in that selected text doesn't highlight. If I want to delete or replace a word in a note, I have little idea where the caret is and what is selected.
There has been recent discussion if you take a look over here - My text cursor is missing when I edit note text - how can I get it back?
I'm on 2018 SP3.0 and have this problem.
