I have to model a building in solidworks starting from the studs to the plywood making the walls. The problem I am having is trying to get the plywood fit the studs without having tons of in assembly cuts. Any advice on how to have minimal parts in the assembly and having the plywood fit the studs.
Construct you studs on 16" centers and mind the corners. The first stud after the corner will need to be 16" from the outside corner. Of course the sheetrock on the inside of the building will then be off of the perfect 48" or 96".
This is a little something that you can do to make the drywall guys really, really like you -
Do the walls EXACTLY as Rick Becker says, and then throw an extra 2x4 at least a board width away from the end.
From the image above it looks weird, but from the other side, it gives you a great place to attach drywall -

Without even seeing a sketch or maybe even a picture it is difficult to give you a good solution....
First thing I would say is you need to look at your design intent and in your case, space the studs for minimal cutting, however even in a house construction there are multiple cuts required.
