deflections in static analysis with temperature loads

I am trying to model a steel bar under cooling load. I am generally happy with the output, the stress in the steel and the reactions on the supports are exactly what i'd expect from a hand analysis. However the deflection plot is very strange. It looks as though the software has restored the bar to it's original length and applied the temperature train as an external compression, resulting in a buckled bar??
