I have paid for student version 2017 8 days ago and have not heard anything yet, not even a email about my payment. Is this normal for Solidworks to take your money but does not email you the product.
Where did you buy from? Was this a legit purchase or were you scammed? It was always my impression that you need to buy from a VAR...
I would think that a student version would either come from a VAR or directly from the school - either way you should get a serial number fairly quickly, and that is all you need to download/install.

Not normal at all. Product is too large to email .
The product is available for download, but, usually you will get it from your school's server and you teacher will provide you with the licence code.
It is usual for SW to take your money and give you back buggy SP releases available for download.
Rick Becker - oooo ououhhh - smack SMACK - a right hook - left hook - oh a KO, within seconds - ONE and TWO -
Student versions are bought through 3rd parties (i.e. Studica SOLIDWORKS | Student Edition, Academic 3D CAD Design Software ) rather than resellers. Best to contact who you bought from as I doubt this was through SolidWorks directly so it is the 3rd party that are likely delaying things.
What is the url to the purchase site?
If your school has a maintenance license for institutional use - they should have free student licenses to distribute.
You can download the install files>> from here<<.
