Hi All, I am working on an assembly where I can clearly see that multiple components are piercing through part of an enclosure, yet Detect Interference does not catch anything. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Interference detection doesn't work on surfaces bodies. Check your part. Sometimes downloaded vendor parts are imported as surface bodies instead of solid bodies.
Can you post a snip of your interference dialog box?
There are a few options which might stop the interference from being picked up. See image below for reference to the numbers.
1. Make sure you haven't inadvertently excluded some components.
2. Use this if this is the interference you're seeing but not being picked up
3. This will check the subassemblies for interference within
4. As (3) but within part files.
If this doesn't work please share the model and we can take a look at it.
Thanks Iain - these were good tips but I had already tried them all. Turns out it was a surface body, not a solid body, which was the issue.
I always include "show ignored interferences" because then you can see if someone else have fooled around with it.
Thanks so much Sachin, it was a surface body! Now if I can just figure out how to make it a solid . . .
