Feature dimension is placed way out in space

I have a simple model of a single sketch with multiple closed sections to form a multi-lumen tube. For whatever reason the feature dimension of my extrusion is way out in space when viewed in the 3D window. If you double click the extrude feature you cannot see the length dimension unless you zoom way, way, way, way, out.

The best way to see the problem is to open the part, double-click the extrusion to show feature dimensions then click the "View Orientation" block and select the "normal to plane" option. Seems like a bug but i can't tell why it is in my model. it is very annoying making it hard to work with that dimension and zoom properly in the main view.

I don't really expect a solution but thought i would post the problem for the record and perhaps there is a known solution though i couldn't find anything similar.

The 100mm is the length of the tube but it's nowhere near the actual tube
