Kind of weird. Make a sketch and cannot use if cause I cannot select it. Went to view and everything is grayed out. Already shut down and restarted. 2017 Sp3. This is in an assembly. Needed these sketches to make a plane for mating.
Found it. Went to the Bottom check Customize Menu. Found that the Block of Hide all Types was un Checked. Checked it and now I have that Option available again.
Could you post a screenshot? Maybe someone could help you if they have more information.
It sounds like it is suppressed or not set to visible.
Right click on the sketch in the Feature Tree and see that it is visible and not suppressed.
Also, you said it is in an assembly, was the sketch created in a part and then the part imported? The part may set as virtual or suppressed or the sketch may be suppressed in the part.
Did that and they are not suppressed and should be visible. When I go to view every selection is grayed out.
Is "Hide All Types" selected? That would grey out every view type.
Even that is grayed out and not available.
Can you share some screen shots?
Things to check:
1) Is the sketch in the context of the assembly or the context of a part that is in the assembly? (in other words, can you open the part separately and still see the sketch?)
2) Are you editing a part in the assembly while the sketch is in the assembly?
3) are you in large assembly mode?
4) Do you have more than one configuration, and if so, are these options checked for the configuration?
Sorry cannot share. What is weird is Hide all types is not there and the rest that would be below it is grayed out. In the drawing the choices are available but not Hide all Types.
One Configuration. Not in large assembly mode. The sketch is in the assembly.
I was using the sketch to place planes on a part I had just used cut extrude on.
This may be a silly question, but did you close the sketch?
