I am trying to creat a sheet metal loft using this 2 profiles (sketches) but I am getting error msg saying that the bend radius is too big. Can anyone please help me out ? i am not a professional...just a rookie starting out.

Rohit,,, This loft requires a freeform bend and you need to use the "Formed" option for it. Also the connecting radii need to be tangent and it is a good idea to fully define your sketch profiles. Not sure what thickness you wanted so I made this .25"

Thanks for your feedback. I am using SW 2015 and I dont see the free form bend option under the sheet metal loft feature as per your screenshot. I am using a 0.125" aluminum and would like to flatten this out and get it cut on the Water jet. Could you please send me the flat pattern of this shape if possible ?

The file I attached earlier is a 2015 version. Once you have selected Bent or Formed (you want formed) that option is not available to you again unless you delete (or suppress) the loft and start over. You can just change the material thickness in the file I attached previously.
Notice when I go to edit the loft, there is no Bent/Formed option.
Just click on the Sheet Metal Flatten tool for your flat pattern.

I looked at what Dennis said and managed to figure it out. It's a little bit different in newer versions of SolidWorks. First of all, like Dennis said, fully define your sketches. No blue lines! To create the sheet metal part, click the lofted bends feature. Then switch the manufacturing type to formed, instead of bent. Enter your thickness, then click the profile and the sketch you drew to define your plane. Should pop right in. I fully defined your sketches and cleaned things up a bit in the attached.
