Yes that was the first thing I tried.
Is there a setting buried somewhere that turns off that option?
The only setting I found that pertained to the arrow keys at all was this:
I doubt that this would help with your problem. Your arrow keys aren't working in Solidworks at all right?
Possibly he may have arrow key rotation set to 0° so there is no visible movement?
Actually nm you can't make it 0°. You can set it to 0.01° though and get this almost unnoticeable movement.

I had the same thought as well but I was assuming that he held the arrow key down for a while. You would have to notice movement after a while.
I shouldn't assume.
Which arrow keys? I have two sets on my keyboard, one by themselves and one along with the numeric pad. The numeric pad will work when the num lock switch is off and the other one works all the time.

Neither work in 2016 but work in 2015 I can't remember when I last used them but it was not very long ago and I made no changes to the settings that I am aware of.
I'm running Solidworks 2016 SP 5.0
The arrow keys work just like they always have.
I am sure it is something I did all my settings match what is posted above and I have SP 5.0.
I'll keep look around the settings.
I'd check the keyboard first to make sure it works properly, then check the tools>options as other suggested here
Just tried it again in 2015 both sets of arrow keys work but not in 2016.
So its not the keyboard.
I use them to position the model to make the drawing it seems like I did that the other day.
Couple things to check:
1) make sure the arrow keys are not assigned for other shortcut (you can check this in keyboard setup
2) I hate to do this, but can you set back to default (you can save you setup before doing this if you have many changes in your tools>options)
Just restarted the computer looked at the tip of the day, ctrl+arrow & alt+arrow work but nothing on the arrow keys.
No hot keys assigned to the arrow keys.
Very strange.
I tried that in 2016 and nothing just tried it in 2015 and the model spins.
Is it just Solidworks that they do not work or other programs.
Solidworks 2016 only they keys work in Solidworks 2015.
Another thing I hate to try is messing with the registry. is it too much for you to reinstall the SW?
Reset keyboard tap in customize window to default then reassigned my hotkeys and the arrow keys now work.
Maybe when loading a new version of SW there was a problem importing the settings who knows.
This worked for me!
I'm assuming you re-booted your computer and tried again.
