Many things can cause this, I'm sure your VAR would be able to find the problem.
I would make sure Server B hosts file has Server A as an entry.
Server A 192.168.xx.xx
Test connection by telneting from Server B to Server A using port 3030
At DOS command line - telnet server b 3030
A blinking cursor on a blank screen is a good test result.
Firewall settings are also known to cause problems.
yeah thats the first i did was test ports. Then i tried adding the host and ip entries to both servers hosts files. - same results.
Apparently the archive servers (replicated) do not like the sql (sa) password manually set - even though I double and triple checked the password - the only way it worked is when set to "use default login"
