Freeform tool on Surfaces

I'm trying to repeat the exercise I saw in this you tube video. Starting at about 2:30 minutes in the video.

SolidWorks: Surfacing Fundamentals - 08.Freeform - YouTube

Here you can see he has lofted surface that has been split.

I created my own similar model, see attachment "Part6"

When I try to use the Freeform tool like shown in the video.  I get that alert of the geometry being to complicated, see attachment "Problem-1"

I notice the tool selects both bodies, despite me have the bodies split before starting the command.

I'm currently using SolidWorks 2015 SP5.0

I'm stumped....Anyone have some ideas?

Thank you,

Shawn
