Does anyone use balloons on their rendered Assemblies? Is it possible in Visualise or does it require a 3rd party program
although Visualize does not do this nativley I have a couple ideas as to how I would do it ,
first I would setup my camera the way I want my model in SOLIDWORKS and save it as a JPG or PNG with the Balloons and then use that iimage as a backplate and line my model up the way I wanted.
depending on the level of realism required SOLIDWORKS Composer could do the job
It is not possible in Visualize.
Spent a couple seconds making some balloons. You could probably dial it in much better playing with the settings.

I don't think this is what he meant by balloons lol...
Ohhhh lol. Just re-read original message. Photoshop for images needing balloons and after effects for motion balloons.
Nice, not exactly what I was looking for ... but nice. Very good!
+1 on Chris' suggestion. Assuming you're not doing 100's or 1000's of callouts... adding callouts, balloons, or annotations of any kind is a job for post editing applications (PhotoShop, Paintshop Pro, Gimp).
And a quick job at that!
Once you learn this, you'll never do it another way.
Thought of a creative solution. This would be involved and more on the highly innovative solution end for a larger client meeting. You could generate the balloons in photoshop as pngs. then place those as decals on small planes or boxes created by Visualize around your 3d model. You could create animations and fly throughs.
This is a cool Idea,
would be a little work up front but I think it could look really cool, and why stop with balloons!!
I just tried that. Getting arrows and boxes to align correctly in 3D, then pasting with properly scaled decals (created in photoshop, no less) is a serious PITA.
Unless the client is Emirates airline, I can't see anyone paying for that kind of time and effort.
