I have a 3d download and I want to make small changes to my 3d, but how do I?
You can use FeatureWorks to "Recognize Features" - it does pretty well with prismatic stuff, but the parts that it doesn't recognize will stay "Imported Body"
Try this model -
edit: SOLIDWORKS 2017 SP3
What format did you download the 3D model as?
What part exactly is it that you don't know how to do?
Some more information would be really helpful....................
this is my file, and I just want to view the tree for modify some stuff on the 3d model.
Nice!! Thanks U really much, can U please take a picture of the Recognize features touch? I work with french version and I dont know this touch. Thanks
When I open the file, I get this pop-up message:
If you don't receive this message, I recommend starting with "Import Diagnostics" (rt. click on Imported Body)
There was an issue -
Click "Attempt to Heal All", and it fixed everything.
Then I rt. click on the Imported Body and Select "FeatureWorks -> Recognize Features
At this point, I just let SOLIDWORKS do all the work - you can click the green checkmark, or blue arrow (if you would like to step through the process.)
It picks up most of the features:
perfect!!!!!! I save this picture and try that , have a great day thanks again!
You beat me to it Todd, except I was asking first to see if they could open a 2016 SW file! lmao
What version of SolidWorks are you currently using?
2017 but french version so I don't yet bridge the two versions, at school I use in English and at my work in French. One 2015 and other 2017 ...
