Where do I change the background colors of the toolbars and other associated displays? Not the model but the actual background? The default gray color for v. 2016 is painful to view all day.
You can change it in the settings below, there are 4 options in total.
I'm not aware of any way to do that.
I believe that this is only available in SW 2016 and later.....possibly only 2017 and later. Not sure... But it definitely isn't available in SW 2015.
Could only be 2017 then, as David has SW2016.
It looks like I was wrong again. Oh well, it's not like it's a new experience for me.
I found that option but like you say it only has 4 options. They all seem to be varying shades of gray (Isn't there a movie titled that?) LOL
Again thanks for the reply. The gray just gets monotonous after a while!!
You can take Kevin Pymm's solution one step further by using the Plain (Viewport Background color above) radio button under Background Appearance. Then you can make the background just about any color you want. Just make sure viewport background is selected under color scheme settings then click on the edit icon under the color display to the right and select your color.
This doesn't affect toolbars, only the background.
That worked! Thank you for your instructions. Very clear and concise. After nine years in the US Navy I'd had about all the gray I could use!
You're welcome, glad I could help.
My wife is a Navy Vet as well. She's not big on gray either!
Thanks for your service.
