I have a file step when I open it I find errors on it I tried of the coorigées but I have not managed can you help me please@
I tried using SW2017, not much joy.
I then used Creo3 and re-exported Creo assembly as a .stp file. Attached is the conversion to SW2017. It also includes the converted .stp file.
Same here - I tried to open with no luck
As the sender for Parasolid format for better importing to SW
There is an 'invisible surface' corrupt in ds4110893206 on the original step part when imported into SW. Run import diagnostics on that part. You should get 2 gaps. On those gaps you can toggle to show the edges. This gives you and idea where it is
Now it's a matter of deleting the face in that area - it's invisible and when you select it won't show nothing on screen . Once deleted it's all sorted
Seen this loads of times when importing automotive files from Catia and alike and I can spend hours fixing them. The original model quite possible has bad surfaces.
Richard,..exactly.. delete the surfaces near the problem... although, it now has a open boundary.. (unless you choose another face and it repaired itself?)
Spot on that's the one, I think it kind of goes off into infinity hence the problem! I don't think it would be too hard to fix once deleted with new surfaces, it might be a case of tidying some of the tiny surfaces up around it to get a decent surface. Maybe offset and trim the outer surface inwards to work off.
Hey Richard,.. yeah, and as you said, it's a Catia v5 file... I did briefly try to clean it up but I think the relative size, short edges and modeler tolerance are going to create downstream problems!
I thought im the only one having problem opening step file is SW 2017 so what i do is i open in SW 2016 SP5 then open in 2017
