I'm trying to make a part that has a hexagon-shaped base and top but a curved, dome-shape like in between. Below is the closest I could get. Just can't seem to fill in the corner gaps. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
If you have the top and bottom sketches, you can loft them. If you select the larger hexagon first, open the 'start/end constraints' section of the loft dialog and set the start constraint to 'normal to profile'.
Yes like that. How did you do it? I would also like to be able to adjust the diameter of the top.
Two sketches both are hexagon and then guide curves to make the spherical shape. I actually only used 2 guide curves but needed 6 to get a better round.
I shut my system down and din't save it but it's easy to rebuild again.

How would you go about doing the same but as a cut, from the bottom? The loft cut nor boundary cut have been working out well for me. How would you go about doing this? Also, I did not want my top to be cut out, just bottom.
Are you trying to achieve a part with a certain wall thickness? Try the shell function.
