We completed an update of our Vault to 2017 SP0 and the PDM Clients in one subnet are getting errors that they fail to obtain a license for SolidWorks PDM Professional. License server machine is down or not responding. All clients in other subnets are successfully connecting to the license server. Prior to the weekend the clients in this one subnet were successfully contacting the license server. The clients are able to ping the license server successfully and the license server is able to ping the client computers.
Any suggestions as to what we might look at being the problem?
Hi Gary, there was a bug in 2017 SP0 with high latency times communicating between the client and the license server. Take a look at this solution in the Knowledge Base: S-072431
It also mentions that the issue has been fixed in 2017 SP2
