When I go into sketches in Solidworks my smart dimension tool is always on (even though the button in the tool bar shows it is off). Wherever I click, I click on a dimension to edit (see first two pictures - I clicked and didn't move my mouse, and a dimension box came up which is a dimension associated with the top left circle).

In addition, the dimension lines don't show up (see the third picture - this is what I want but don't have). This means I don't know what my dimensions are and I can't edit them as far as I know (for instance the positioning of the holes).

I've tried looking this up but I haven't found anything. This prevents me from using Solidworks - I can only edit dimensions (no dragging geometry or editing geometric relations), and even when I want to edit dimensions I can't find the ones I want and have no idea which ones I am editing.
