Is there a way to change the font of a specific layer only?

I have a set of drawings that need to be converted from one template to a new one. The problem I'm running into is the new template requires a different font than what is being imported. I've created a macro that changes the font of all the notes to the document font, but the problem I run into is that even though the font is now correct. it has different sizes and it ends up jumbling a lot of the notes. I'm wondering if there is a way to change the font and size of notes/annotations on one layer specifically. That way I can put all of the notes and annotations of one size into a layer and keep them that size when I switch over. I've tried fiddling with the settings in the options under "Layer" but no matter what I do it changes the font of all layers.
