A confession here........I had to rework the swept flange on this part (after it was completed of course) and the sweep wouldn't work with one set of holes, so I deleted them, thinking that I could re-add them in the corrected flat pattern. Now every time I try to add the desired holes (after unfolding the part) Solidworks wants to add my sketch AFTER the flat pattern. Do I just need to start over? Is there something hiding in the swept flange that won't allow me to add the additional feature (holes) where I want them?
Thanks
Hi Nick,
Generally any features you add in the model after you have flattened the part will be only in the flattened configuration.
You have two options:
1. As Dan stated roll back using the blue roll back bar and create the feature then roll to end
2. Unfold the model - apply the feature - then fold the model back
I hope that helps
Thanks
Adam
