i try to emphasized outlines in any view.. i can see the option only in section views. but i need to emphasized outlines in any view. like this sample.
In the example you posted, it looks like the lighter lines are Tangent Edges. You can change the style and thickness here:
If you change it there and it still doesn't look right, right-click on your drawing view and choose Tangent Edge > Tangent Edges with Font from the drop-down.
I think you're right. I use tangent edges with fonts and got a result just like the example.
Only some edges did not respect the operation.
Can you post the drawing and model here?
I can't- but I upload another file with the same issue.
the example file have a NDA.
I opened your model and drawing. You didn't change the line thickness for Tangent Edges at Tools > Options > Document Properties like I posted above. They're still set to be thinner. If you want the tangent edges to look the same as the outside edges you need to make them the same thickness and style at Document Properties. And if you want them to be black you need to change that at Tools > Options > System Options > Colors. (I don't know why that isn't also a document property. It's always seemed to me like it should be.)
maybe because is a old file. but in the new one is ok this configuration.
I have another issue whit this. in the drawing file the line thickness is ok for tangent edges and lines outside (0.18mm and 0.4mm) but whan i print in PDF the thickness is the same for both edges.
See #7 at Frequently Asked Forum Questions.
thanks Glenn Schroeder i see the Frequently Asked Forum Questions and the Poor PDF Quality - How do I fix it? post.
I cant install the CutePDF Writer but I have Adobe PDF pro licence. I print use it with 1200 dpi (600 dpi using "save as PDF"). but the quality is better using the save as PDF of solidworks. and the line have betther quality using the save as.
I will continue to research trying to find a solution.
I really appreciate the time you took to help me with these issues.
One way is to convert all the edges to sketches and then change the sketch elements thickness.
