Are you planning to create all views (100+) in the same sheet or create new sheet for each configuration? In either case, the drawing document will be huge and will slow down your performance. But, both of them can be done via macro.
If you just want to update the configuration, then why can't you use rebuilt or force rebuilt in the model instead of creating huge drawing document.
All of the views will be on the same sheet. I do realize that the file size will be much larger, but it is something that the department heads are asking for. The purpose of this is that a dxf will be created for the whole sheet and on a per job basis, they can open the file and grab what they need immediately and start working on that job.
I currently have a macro that will spit out each configuration using the sheet metal convert to dwg/dxf. But this task is for a different department that handles the laser cut out programs. So this part of the problem has already been solved. And before you ask, the other department, wants this very specific option available rather than individual files.
