The tutorial says to click draft analysis to turn off the results, but it just adds another draft analysis on top of the one I have. I'm doing the tutorial on molds.
Since you have already done the splitting of the part, the surface bodies created by that are colored. That is what you are seeing when the draft analysis is turned off...and why it looks the same when you turn it on.
While in draft analysis, click on the "gradual transition" option, change the "negative draft" color to blue, and then click on the green arrow.
Click on the Draft Analysis icon again...
It's grayed out after I click it once. I can cancel it and then click it again, but it still gives the same results.
Is this the tutorial you are doing...?
Yes that's the one.
This is how it looks while you are IN draft anaylisis...
If you click on the green arrow, you will exit draft analysis but the part will still keep the colors...and will be continually updating/changing the colors as you make changes/additions to the part.
In order to "turn off" this, you click on the draft analysis icon again.
This is what it looks like before I click on draft analysis to "turn it off"
This is after clicking draft analysis.
