So I created a skeleton part that is just a 3d sketch. ie Part1A
Then I created a new part and inserted the above part into it and used it to create my first part. ie Part2A
All works and is tied together.
I did a pack and go and it created a new folder with all the parts with the new name. PartxB
However when I open Part2B it shows the first part is still Part1A?
Can Pack and go not copy of the inserted sketch?
Not sure how you setup your save...
Here all I use is SSP which drives the main assembly all sub-assemblies and parts and if I have another size or version of the same assembly I use Pack & Go. What I do is use the Select and Replace button
and then I save it to a Zip file in another directory.
Then I can Extract that zip file and then make my changes to the SSP and everything adjusts accordingly..
if you right click part1a and select edit in context, which file does it open?
When doing the P&G did you change the names where highlighted?
If you did you my have to open and resave the new SSP nudge the P&G'd part to update the name in the tree.
If you Edit in context the new SSP you should see that it does actually refer to the newly created SSP part, just the feature manager name has not updated.
