Can u please tell me that how can I edit Pipe description from
weldments cut list .
Please find attached image
Open the SLDPRT file of the component.
Then go to File > Properties
Then look for the description propertie and change it to whatever you like.
for a weldment, do you not right click the cutlist folder in the feature tree and bring up the properties that way? If you want to permanently change the property values for the weldments you've used, you can go to the .SLDLFP and change the custom properties within the file properties dialog there, but these won't filter into already created parts.
You could. Just that for the description property, I always use this method. Just for the sake of "tradition"
would changing the description in the file properties not change the description of the file thoughh rather than one particular weldment body? We're trying to alter the field of the wledment cut-list, not the BOM. Your example is of a part with no cutlist.
You are right in the fact that it will change only this particular weldment body, I was going to edit the post eventually when I get back to the office to show the procedure for the library itself.
Also, right on the weldment cut-list, BOM argument. However for the description property, I found out it doesn't matter since that despcription is on both list (at least that's the case for me). I was just too lazy and too short of time to fix my post after I reminded myself that this was a weldment cut-list issue.
Thanks for pointing the caveats on my previous post. Sadly, I had to run and I'm in a taxi right now on my way to visit a client. I'll post and update clarifying everything when I get back (if no-one has bothered to post it before me)

The short answer is that you can't edit information in cut lists and have it drive back to the model like you can with BOM's.
go to the part file, open the cutlist folder, right click a weldment body
Select properties and you will get this
If you don't get the properties option, you may need to change the document properties>weldments settings.
Thanks for setting the record straight!
This things works.
Thanks a lot.
