I have two single wires that I want to be twisted together when the panel is being built.
Maybe I am missing it, but I can not seem to figure out how to show that these wires are supposed to be twisted pairs?
There is a twisted pair shield symbol, but it wants to assign that to a part.
I can draw the wires crossing each other, but that is a pain and seems like a hack.

Matt, normally I see people use a passive symbol (so no component is created) or insert a symbol with no connection points for this (just a dwg block in the library that we can slap on a drawing). Go to your symbol library and clear your search filters, type in "twisted pair" in description and see if you get similar results...if your line spacing is different or you prefer a different looking notation, you can build a symbol that matches your needs and use that instead. Insert the symbol you want over the 2 wires to indicate th twisted pair in your drawings.
You can also slide these into your symbol pallet on the right Properties tab when working on your sheets for quick access.

Those are the ones that I tried, but it wants to associate those with a component. These are just wires which have no cable number or connector to associate with. Maybe I am doing it wrong?

Yes, that was a symbol I built.
Yes, so in that case make sure you use a "passive symbol". To do that, go to your library, search for the symbol. Make a copy/paste of the symbol for the twisted pair, open the copied version and change the symbol type in the drop-down to "passive" so when you place it it no longer looks to make a component.

I created a passive symbol with a wipeout underneath it. All I have to do is drag it from the symbols list and drop it on the wires. The wires are not affected. If I need different spacing, I do a "scale" on the symbol.
