in the following Link is stated, that .3DS are exportable.
CAD-Import und -Export | SOLIDWORKS
How does it work?
Thanks for your help
Do a File -> Save-As and select one of the export extensions you need. Step, Parasolid, IGES to name a few.
Thanks for the answer
Without export extensions is it not possible?
Well, I think you need an extension for the file to work. What are you trying to accomplish?
I need 3ds files regularly from someone else ... however I would like to do this without a converter
As Steve has correctly mentioned, it needs an extension for systems to know what format it is.
okey, thank you
Is that what you were after? If you're finished, please mark the correct answer...
Hello, can you say me which export extensions can I use for an 3DS export?
Because I could not find anyone for 3DS.
If you're trying to export a file from SW, just do a Save-As and look at all the choices.
You might want to CTRL+C that line of text Steve in case you need it a third time.........
Michi,.. here is a link showing the file formats 3DS Max allows.
I'd suggest saving a test file for all the formats which are available and that 3DS Max excepts.
Then have you friend test which one he prefers.
