Are configurations of design table parts independent of each other?
I introduced a new feature in a configuration of a design table part, it did not edit other configuration.
The short answer is yes or no depending on how you set them up. I suggest you read up on configurations in the Help and in the Tutorials. You are learning a lot about SWX, but many of your questions would be answered by going through ALL the tutorials and then by looking in the Help before turning so quickly to this forum.
Design Tables are great for seeing what is different between each configuration and for setting the conditions of a lot of them at once. DTs are also able to take advantage of the functions of Excel. However, your question is more about configurations than it is about Design Tables.
If you want features to propagate to other configurations then uncheck the option shown in the image below when creating configuration or right click on an existing configuration & select properties & change it there. Of course changing this option after a configuration has been created won't change the state of added features since the configuration was created.
Or you can open the configuration & manually unsuppress the feature & the feature tree state will be remembered when switching configurations.
