When I change the state of a drawing, it seems all the parts referenced in it change too?
I'm trying to understand which way round this tree of dependency works regarding file state.
I wasn't expecting all the referenced files to be locked into having identical state.
There must be some limit to it. For example, a frame with lots of widgets on it, surely isn't going to have to change status because there are some changes happening to the widgets mounted on it?
That isn't going to work for me if its true.
Maybe I have accidentally extended the interaction in my setup somehow.
How to prevent transition of referenced files?
Warning.....it's a double edged sword. Either you have complaints about having to check too many boxes....or you'll be rolling back a bunch of files.
This might do the trick for you:
I had the problem because of extensive use of configurations for related components. Without this tick all drawings (perhaps 25 of 25 different part numbers) would change state simultaneously.
