What type of Material is used to bring this appearance?
If you use the built in sand texture & scale it up a bit, play with the lighting & colour it doesn't look too bad.
Or the built in sponge texture but it's a bit too yellow.
You can apply this appearance using any material. The technique you would need to use to achieve this appearance is either bump mapping or displacement mapping. Have a read of this blog that I wrote: How to Create and Use Custom Appearances in SOLIDWORKS. It helps to explain really well how to achieve exactly what you need.
For those on subscription, you can access an extended library of PhotoView 360 appearances.
1. Log in to your SolidWorks account and, under "Downloads", select "PhotoView 360 Appearances".
2. You will be taken to a new screen that has a link to: Visit Luxology SolidWorks Asset SharingPortal site.
3. From this screen, select SolidWorks Asset Sharing.
4. Browse & download appearances.
I use 2016-2017 student edition. I couldn't see any PhotoView 360 appearances.
You also try concrete, play with changing the color and scale.
You can google for an egg carton image or a recycled paper drink holder cartons, then save it and add the appearance at the part level. You will need to edit the appearance and change the mapping and sizes etc...
