My question is regarding the aforementioned. I was wondering if Solidworks had the ability to calculate and read-out the cross-sectional areas in a given plane (ie. xy+10ft etc.), (or volumes between planes), for a solid body . I was also wondering if the consequence of these readouts could be made into a new body centered around the "middle axis" in circular cross sections (however, if the read-outs are obtained, this would be very simple to accomplish separately). Essentially, I am trying to analyze and refine a design to fit the Sears-Haack body criteria for low theoretical wave drag in supersonic flow. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
