I am creating custom signs.
I used the Solid Works "sketch entities / text command.
How can i make the letters larger? I used the largest font possible 72 but i need to make it bigger.
I also want to keep the center of the letter "O and e" is there away to keep this part?

Bjorn is correct Kenneth! I probably would not go the stencil text route for something a short as this. I would instead pick a standard text and then dissolve the text into a sketch. I quickly mocked this up in 2016 to show the end result. Also I added a zero to the end to show you how a number might be shown differently using this process. Some fonts could be confusing to a reader when displaying numbers. Since you're in the sign business you would likely go the stencil font route.
How do you dissolve the text into a sketch?
With the sketch still open, RMB on the text and click on Dissolve Sketch Text in the menu that opens
What text did you use? When I do the dissolve it does not change. The center portions are still separate.
Dissolve will allow you to change the text sketch manually.
Sounds good then I can create a block so a can move it around.
If you want to position text with control, within the sketch create a construction line, constrain it with dims. add text. In the text dialog there's a curves box at the top. Select the construction line and you can make it left, centre, right align etc.
In my letters all of my lines are splines. The laser we have will not work with splines. Does anyone know a way to join all splines as one solid line? Thanks
I seem to remember that some software for the Amada had a curve fitting option to process those polylines. I think it was MetalSoft or AP100. I believe the 'conversion' required a DXF file to process. It's likely your laser software has a curve fitting option too.
We tried that but no luck
I just tried it here with the sample I put up earlier. First I saved the top view of that file as a DXF file using the Geometry and Sheet Metal options only. I then reopened that file and was presented with lines and arcs only. There are no splines in the final output.

72 might be the largest in the list, but you can manually type in other sizes, the same is possible with the units.
For letters that don't create dangling bodies you can use other fonts.
Stencil type fonts for example are ideal Fancy > Stencil, Army fonts | dafont.com Just download, extract then right click and 'install'
There are other sources out there, and not all suitable fonts are necessarily catergorised in stencil.
