Is it possible to create a selection set of faces in a solid geometry and have its corresponding contacting set of faces be automatically selected in its negative space?
This is possible manually for simple assemblies, but becomes cumbersome when the geometry is complex.
In the example shown below, is a simplified piston head assembly with negative space (in red).
If a selection set of faces is made in the piston.
Is it possible to select corresponding contacting faces in the negative space automatically?
What in means a "negative space" of contact set? Is it a widely used term or just your invention?
