I'd also like to make my arrow freeze but see no option in properties for that.
in Composer there is no option to do that. Why do you want to freeze the arrow?
Can you show a screenshot of the situation? Maybe there's a workaround for that or another
Yep. Control-select all the entities you want to group, right click and select "Group"
i think this is an Solidworks- not an Composer-function. This dosn't work within Composer
That must be in Solidworks. I don't have those options in Composer.
OOPS, sorry I missed which forum this was in.
I want to keep the arrow static even though they can move the object.
there is no freeze for arrows, because they are 3D
1. use a 2D Element, for example create an arrow like you want in the white area and create a Detail using the technical Illustration Workshop or High Resolution Image Workshop.
If you do so, you find this element later on in the ZIP/SMG File ;-)) Than you have the possibility to use this Image/arrow as a 2D element in you Bibliothek whenever you want.
2. Create the 3D Arrow using the axe of the spindle (by pressing the ALT-key while you create the arrwow - so the direction is identicelly)I think the spindle will not be moved. So you will be able to transform the arrow whereever you want.
Thanks Dirk - That's a neat way to make a graphic that I haven't tried!
Okay, I hope I understand this the right way. So a workaround would be something like this:
Create a single arrow and make a view of it, save it via Technical Illustrations Workshop as SVG-file
and import it in your project as a 2D image. Then you have the option to disable the background,
freeze and so on and the arrow won't move.
