Greetings All,

I would like to open a discussion regarding potential to support native Plain-text file format in SolidWorks.

Does there exist any good operation to merge changes of different revisions to the same model?

Consider the perfect knowledge acquired with plaintext diff tool applied to different revisions of a plain-text README file.

As software engineer, I expect EXACT difference between revision SLDPRT and SLDASM.

How do I generate an exact difference report of two (2+) SLDPRT revisions?

How do I generate an exact difference report of two (2+) SLDASM revisions?

How do I enable Plain-text SLDPRT & Plain-text SLDASM in SW2017 for future proof preservation of PDM system data files?

Thanks,

Rob
