Does anyone know when there will be support for AutoCAD 2017 - plugin for PDM? In 2018?
Hi Robert, Autocad 2017 is supported by PDM Professional 2017 (file and addin) and PDM Standard 2017 (file support)
Are you using PDM 2017 and finding there is no addin for Autocad 2017?
See the attached support matrix for PDM 2017 for more details.
Correct, I'm building a client image using 2017 SP3 and when I select the add-in for AutoCAD, I just see 2007-2016. Image attached.
Am I missing the attachment? :-O
I just remembered I have this matrix. Same one you are referring to? It does show 2017 add-in support. So what should I do?
Hi Robert, yes that is the matrix I was referring to. I do seem to remember there was some issue a couple of years ago with installing addins from an admin image. What I would do is to install your PDM client without the Autocad addin, then get people to manually load the addin using the instructions found here: 2017 SOLIDWORKS PDM Help - Activating the AutoCAD Add-in
I've proceeded to select AutoCAD 2016 add-in to be installed as part of the client image. And once again, when I run the installer, it's hanging up. Just like the previous year installer (2016) - with ANY AutoCAD "add-in" as part of the image, the image just locks up and fails to install. My 2017 SP3 install has been running over 75 minutes now. It's locked up. I bet if I remove the add-in as part of the image, it'll work. Shame this and other glitches in the image building process continue to be repeated each year. Get it together Dassault.
is there a add-in for AutoCAD 2018 or 2020 for PDM 2019?
