I need to insert notes into a titleblock, is there a way to do this using the corners of text. I know a line pops up to align within, but it seems to work only with previous text.
I'm pretty sure you can drag the corners of that pop-up and then set the alignment properties from the toolbar. Double click it first to activate it.
This affects the entire note....whichever is selected (you can even CTRL select many notes and apply it to them all at the same time):
Also, there is this:
Save it as a style, then load the style into your template (load the style, then save your template), then use the style (again, you can CTRL select many notes and apply it to them all at the same time).
What I've done is I drew a construction line in the title block to align the text where I want it and the "Fixed" the text position and deleted the construction line. It would be awesome if there were a point that you could measure for adjustment..
I think there is John. I went through a lot of trouble to get our sheet format to exactly 1/2" from the the bottom edge. Then I ran into "Grid". Go to View>Hide/Show>Grid. Then on the sketch toolbar all the way to the (Edit to add: right) click on the Quick Snaps and choose Grid Snap. I imagine you could adjust the grid to have a very tight spacing. Then you place all your text to grid points, then turn the grid and grid snaps off.
Good suggestion Matt Peneguy - Lines snap but the text doesn't or rather I didn't find a way to make them snap etc.. But still a good solution in keeping everything straight..
