When I use the flex tool this graphical error appears. I'm not sure how to fix this. Has anyone else experienced this?
Darr,, Can you attach the file you are attempting to do this on? I did something based on my assumptions I gathered from your screenshot and did not have any issues. Also wonder why you don't sweep a profile along a profile path for this.
I see what you are getting at now. Wow!.. Not as simple as I thought it might be.
The right man is on the job though........
Ahhh,, c'mon Dave.. I was just about ready to throw my hands up and walk away hoping someone like you would come along and save the day.
Surely you jest Dennis!
I enjoy watching your outcomes and I know you love a challenge!
Dave, I was going to say "don't call me surely" but it didn't look right... Did you happen to notice how hideous my mug has become after a few short years on this forum? I used to be considered handsome. This forum will take a toll on you.
I've got no right to comment on your 'pre-posed' picture when I've got a head like mine lmao.......
I'm not so sure the flex is going to be able to handle that. Hope someone can prove me wrong. Even when I suppressed all the chamfers and fillets it came out wonky.. You might want to consider something like a projected curve to sweep your profile around.. You may have to do some fancy math in order keep the size correct.
Think I got it.. Your Sweep seems to be causing an issue. If you do a simple thin boss, add your chamfers and fillets the flex works just fine and doesn't take nearly as long to complete.
Darr Tu, if you're just trying to show a gasket in place, I wouldn't use the flex command. I'd rather see you try and use the sweep command.
